Why do people like Tony Hawk so much?

He’s the most overrated skateboarder of all time.

I’ve been skateboarding for 13 years and everytime I’m out there’s at least one punk who says do some Tony Hawk tricks.

Who out there dislikes him?

   My boyfriend doesn’t like him that much. He has been skating for about the same time you have. Says the same thing about him. . .

   Those punks probably don’t know much about pro-skateboarding, or skateboarding at all if they say “Tony Hawk” and not the trick name.

   I don’t think it is that so many people like him, I just think he is the most well known skater because of his video games and stuff. . .

   I like Aarto the best, personally. . . haha

   Tony Hawk is very overrated
   he’s not even the best skater ever
   it’s just because he gets so much attention and publicity
   He sucks alot to me
   my brother has been skate boarding sense he was 9 and now he’s 15 and he hates tony hawk, he likes others like rob dydrek

   i hate him. . . . i guess its because he was one of the first very famous skaters and he created a lot of tricks. . . . i personally prefer people such as jamie thomas daewon song and geoff rowley

   I could care less really about pro skaters they’re no different than actors or any other famous tard out there and when people idolize one of them that’s overrated, and tony hawk didn’t invent vary many tricks so if anyone says do some tony hawk tricks they obviously don’t know wtf they are talking about, why you got your panties in a knot over that i don’t know I guess you’re just as nieve as they are. Have you ever met any pro’s they’re all so damn nice to you. . . you know why. . . because they’re being paid to be. Man two years ago I would have said bam is the most overrated skater out there, now I hardly hear anyone talking about him thank god because he sucks. At least tony had some talant and a mind to make a fortune out of it. Bam isn’t rich because of his skateboarding.

   i dont hate him i just hate that he’s sold out with his videogames – year after year after year they come out and theyre all the same game with slight adjustments. he is a great icon but not as great as burnquist with his 1 footed smith grinds in vert or say danny way but i suppose because of all the games he has become infamous
