Sadlands circa 1987 Skaters: Lester Kasai, Rich Salazar, Dave Church, JonJon Bryan, Albert Sarabia, Lenny Moss and Dave Ullery. Filming: Terence Yoshizowa Music: Stone Roses Moon Park was built in 1973 in Anaheim California. In the early years it was called RatTown and then later dubbed Sadlands in the 80’s by Neil Blender, as kind of a spoof on Badlands. The park was full of cement banks, pillars, planters, trails, tunnels and of course the crater. It was a challenge to skate with all the obstacles in the way. Many pro skaters grew up skating here, and it was a destination for a lot of skateboarders visiting Southern California. Two years after this video was filmed the city of Anaheim destroyed the craters.
yeah I know its dead wondering if anyone has a video

Sad the city had to destroy that place. A lot of fond memories there.
@Digitalear sounds like a good story b
haha Now adys its still the smae but now everyone gets there burgers at carlsss jr. lmao hahah sweet vid though,
Best place to skate in the anaheim area. Respect the locals and they treated you right. I used to skip savannah all the time to get am/pm “burgers” and skate all day. What a life!!! Peace and respect to all the old sad land friends. Just FYI: by 1990 the city poured rocks on the craters so we couldn’t skate anymore.
Did the sadlands get destroyed? I heard some guy say it was destroyed in ‘89 but I remember skating there in like ‘99. There was an empty pool we’d skate as well right across the street in a condemned apt. building. Awesome spot and sweet vid!
Great to see Lene ripping it up. I always had a good time watching you guys. Long live the Sadlanders.
always wanted to skate this place so thanks for sharing the footage. Lester as always, ripping. .
thanks k. c.
