only one at the 2010 olympics, he competed only in one event- the men’s halfpipe.
you get 2 runs.
on the 1st run, he scored higher than anyone, so by the time it got around to his second run, he already had the gold. he boarded through the pipe, completing a VERY successful Double McTwist 1260 (aka the tomahawk) and got the gold.
(The “Tomahawk” or “Double McTwist 1260″ is a snowboarding trick first performed by the American Snowboarder and Skateboarder Shaun White. White successfully completed the trick in the Half Pipe Final at the 2010 Winter Olympics. He named it after a steak he had in a restaurant and unveiled the trick as his last in his final run which earned him a score of 48. 4 out of a possible 50 points, winning him the gold medal. This was the highest score ever awarded in any Winter Olympics, beating his own record which had been 46. 8, set in 2006, which he had previously equaled in his first run. )
Note: if i find the video, ill come back and add it to this response haha
edit: here’s the video (i think, i only watched the first 2 seconds haha) there’s a short commercial before the video itself starts http://www. nbcolympics. com/video/assetid=d924411a-bea6-4fd8-b485-f58dc5238dfe. html
