Shaun White is great, I’m not denying that. But pick up Any snowboard magazine or video, you will not find him anywhere. The way the media builds him up, you would think he’d be all over those publications. There is more to snowboarding than competions.

dude, Shaun white IS the best in the world. no doubt. i hate to follow the trend and i know exactly what you’re saying, just cause thats his name everyone, even people from the middle of Louisiana who have never rode in their lives, say it. but he is the best, he is soooo good. phenom
gotta respect the man, he owns the pipe and slope when he rides it. i saw some footy of him in pow from last year and he can hold his own although he no jeremy jones or travis rice. and i doubt he has much rail ability, where i think magoon is king.

The “best” at snowboarding is a very vague statement. There are so many different things about the sport, and there is no one person is the best at them all. From park, to alpine racing, to cross, to GS, half pipe, backcountry to everything else. Although I’m pretty sure Shaun White proved he is the best at the half pipe with an olympic gold.
