im your typical 14 year old girl who loves to skateboard but doesn’t own like a legit skateboard i have a crappy old skateboard that i got back from when i was 10. So tommorow my mom is going to take me to this local skateshop to get me a legit skateboard. and im kind of nervous cause i dont know what to ask for or anything! i know like ur basic stuff like whats a deck the trucks the wheels and whatnot. but im nervous that i wont know what to ask for and ill look like an idiot. xP Im also worried my mom will start asking them like do have any helmets and blah blah blah because my mom is just like that to ask in front of everyone which ill be embarresd about. Also ill prob look stupid cause most likey ill be like the only girl in there…and i also dont look like your typical skatergirl. So what should i ask for when i go tom?

Monday, May 9th, 2011I’m going to start skateboarding and I’m planning first before buying my first skateboard. I’m asking for some need-to-knows about buying a skateboard so I won’t get ripped off or something. Do I need to buy the ones in popular stores like Toby’s Sports? or is a simple one from a non-sports/skateboard shop like those of National Bookstore(yes they sell some but alot are not in good condition or just dirty).
Does anybody know how to get to the Zephyr skateboard shop in Santa Monica(address would be very nice!!)?

I do have a skateboard but its like from walmart and it sucks! Also if it helps im going to do street and im only willing to spend about 100$. Also plz tell me how much a good skateboard would cost. She always says thats what she wants and she wants a real one not one from Target or Toys are us! How do you know when I skateboard is authentic and not just a trainer one or one that breaks easily?
