What size should I get for a skateboarding deck, bearings, wheels, grip tape etc…
and my foot is small, like a size 6 in shoes.
Help, guys! The building part I can do myself.
Umm.. the size of the wheels do count and even the size of the trucks..
I mean you don’t want big wheels that are bigger then the deck, right?
like gimme a kind of review…
REAL skateboards are a brand first of all n gimme kind of a review…
Im buying an element skateboard off ebay.I know element decks are good but it has 53 mm yellow jacket wheels, Frontage trucks,Sl abec 3 bearings. Am I getting a good deal for about 70$ or should I buy the deck and get the other stuff seperate.
Its very rare that I ever see anyone skating an old school style skateboard anymore. I’m wondering if there are any actual advantages to them? I know people say they are huge and heavy, but I wonder if that huge and heaviness could possibly be a good thing for me. See, I’m 6 foot tall, and 215 pounds (all muscle), with size 13 feet. Even my 8 inch deck seems small at times. Even after like 8 years of skateboarding, I still simply suck at anything technical like kickflips, and other board flips, and even my ollies suck, and am much more fascinated with carving, mini half pipes, vurt ramps, old school tricks like hand plants, boneless, etc. Perhaps its just lack of talent, but after 8 years of skating I’m starting to become curious if perhaps a bigger guy like me would be even better on an old school board. Sure they are big and heavy, but for a big heavy guy like me perhaps wouldn’t it be possible that I would be better on a bigger heavier board?
I mean, its just a theory, but I’m thinking the same way its easier to hit a target with a heavy baseball, than a nerf ball. Or same way it would be easier to balance a large stick on your hand than a tiny twig. I’m thinking that doing kickflips, or airs on vurt ramp, or other tricks could potentially be more forgiving and easier to learn on a bigger heavier board, that you have to push around with authority, rather than these light popsicle stick boards that have to be flicked oh so perfect, too perfect for my big heavy clumsy feet to get the hang of. But that’s just a theory, thats why I’m asking you guys (guys who have rode old school decks), if there are any advantages to them, especially for bigger guys.
Enjoi, Alien workshop, Plan B, and also which is the most common width and length of boards? and why is your choice the best?
Those are my favorite decks and i had one of each but i want to hear other peoples opinions about which is better.
i really want to get one for the graphics, but i dont want it to break cause it will be my 1st skateboard, or at least i dont want it to break easily or quickly………..but i saw ithis other plan B proLITE skateboard deck with sounds special cause of the “proLITE” thing but it doesnt have good graphics like the foundation…….so which one should get?
I just kinda got back into skating again and i used to skate nothing but shorty’s decks back when i was younger. I would really like to find some old decks from when Muska and Smolik and Olson were on the team. I know that Shorty’s still has a website and has their “team” decks, but i would really like to find some of the vintage pro models. Thanks for the help!
